CHILDREN'S DAY

 CHILDREN'S DAY

The 14th of November is the birthday of our late Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.

He loved children very dearly. So, we observe this day as Children's Day all over India.

On this day we have no lessons at all. We have a busy program of speeches, music, dance, and games till the evening.

Nehru's photo is placed on a platform in the school hall and decorated with flowers and green leaves.

In this hall, we hold a meeting of students and teachers and make speeches on the life and work of our great leader.

We also hold an exhibition showing Nehru's life in pictures.

Parents and other important people are invited to spend the day with us.

In the end, sweets are distributed to the school children.
