THE SCHOOL BUS
The Bus is a large motor car. It carries men, women and children on small money. The school has 3 buses. One takes tiny children to school. The second and the third ones are the carriers of bigger children. The drivers are paid by the school. They come in time and take them in batches. Each bus has nearly 60-80 seats. A driver is a careful man. He drives the bus in narrow streets. He gives the horn when any conveyance comes. In turns of a street, he blows the horn many times for warning. There is another man who is the conductor. The conductor guides the driver to move or stop the bus. The Government buses ply all-over Orissa. The conductors give tickets and take money.
It is a wooden structure with a large hood for protection from the rain and sun. Each bus has four hard rubber wheels.
It is the poor man's carrier. Besides, there are private trucks to carry goods. They have replaced carts to a great degree.
