THE POLICEMAN
The Policeman keeps law and order in the country. He is a useful Government servant. Some years ago, his red turban was a terror to men, women and children who keep indoors until he goes out of sight.
His dress is all Khaki. He wears a leather belt, round his waist with a brass badge marked "Policeman" on it. Besides, he takes a stick in hand for use in controlling disorder. He does many things for us. He has his eyes on all that goes on about him. He takes care to see that none breaks the law. He feels safe so long there is peace in his area. He takes to task those who do not obey the law. He finds out crimes and arrests criminals. His chief duty is to protect life and property. He controls traffic in the city at the crossroads. When he wishes to stop a car or a bus, he simply holds his hands spread right. He freely uses the baton to control bad men. At times he faces bad men ready to kill him. At this time, he uses a revolver for self-defence. It is strange that single police, man can control a large crowd. It is because he stands for law. The offenders fear him for disobedience of the law. He does good for society. He is our good friend. We should love and respect him.
