THE CLASSROOM
I am reading in class VII of the Jatni High School. On one side of the school, there are four classes. My class is in a large room. It has two doors and six windows. Sunlight comes into my class. There are forty-nine students in the class. Of them fifteen are girls. All the girls sit on one side. Two students are sitting at a single desk. The desk has a drawer in which the child keeps books. The teacher’s table is in front of the children’s seats.
There is a long wall-black board on the east of the front
wall. Seven teachers teach us every day. We read English, Oriya, Mathematics, Science,
Social-Science, Hindi, Drawing and Sanskrit. In the eighth period, we have
games. On Saturdays, we have Mass Drill in the first period.
