I have a kite made of a light bamboo frame covered with colored paper.

It has a long string tied to it.

I hold the string and the kite flies up in the wind.

Sometimes it goes so high up that it looks like a dark spot in a clear blue sky.

If the string breaks, the kite comes down to the ground.

This happens when there is too much of wind or another string to cut it.

We are fond of flying kites in spring and summer.

Sometimes kite-flying competitions lead to quarrels.

Accidents take place when children are flying kites on house-tops.

My parents often warn me not to fly kites on house-tops and I am careful about it.
